About the role

This contract role covers the IT solutions architect scope of a software application product development effort, with delivery expected on time and within budget, quality and scope. You will work alongside other business units, vendors and partners, and support the SMRT Project Management team, so it suits someone with a business analysis background who is comfortable coordinating across teams.

What you'll do

Report to the assigned reporting manager
Support the Project Manager and the team on assigned projects
Handle support and operations for the SMRT Project Management team
Manage project needs and issues so they are resolved promptly
Take on any other duties assigned
Lead brainstorming sessions to shape possible solutions for business needs or problems

Spot opportunities to improve processes

Prepare and document testing requirements

Identify where IT can support business needs and goals

Develop IT strategies with business units and improve current IT implementations

Build and migrate software and services across the organisation

Work with product and delivery teams on scalable solutions and products

Consult with vendors and internal stakeholders to develop suitable solutions

Requirements

Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
At least 5 years working as a Business Analyst
Proven record of implementing new software application projects
Experience developing BA tender specifications
Good knowledge of the IT solutions landscape, project management and vendor management
Able to communicate and add value on IT infrastructure, application development, IT security and compliance
