About the role
Join Keppel's internship programme as a data and AI engineering intern, working within a corporate operating division on production-grade data and AI solutions. This role suits students pursuing a computing, data science or engineering degree who want hands-on exposure to large-scale data platforms and modern data tooling.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data pipelines
- Support the development and deployment of AI and machine learning models
- Contribute to data platform and AI or agentic solutions
Good to know
- Internship runs January to May 2027
- Full-time internship based in Singapore
- Learning focus includes data platform and architecture design, data security, access control and responsible AI practices
- Exposure to data modelling, data quality checks and transformation techniques
- Hands-on work with SQL, Python and cloud data platforms such as AWS or Snowflake
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field
- Strong programming fundamentals, preferably in Python
- Strong SQL fundamentals
- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles
- Familiarity with data processing concepts such as ETL/ELT, data modelling and data cleaning
- Exposure to machine learning fundamentals such as supervised and unsupervised learning and model evaluation
