About the role

This role supports the finance team at SDC Office, focusing on point-of-sales transactions and miscellaneous receipts. It suits someone with accounting experience who is meticulous, can work independently, and is comfortable liaising with different business units.

What you'll do

Ensure daily sales and cash-up reports match system records.
Reconcile sales from cash, PayNow, NETS, and credit card settlements with bank statements.
Issue, track, and monitor vouchers.
Record and post miscellaneous receipts in the system.
Conduct surprise cash counts at outlets to check compliance.
Record receipts from customers and members promptly and accurately.

Collate entertainment claim receipts and update monthly records in Excel.

Liaise with internal business units on POS-related matters.

Support Accounts Receivable tasks such as sending monthly statements, updating collections, and keying in daily tenant sales.

Initiate monthly GIRO collections.

Perform monthly GST reconciliations to meet statutory requirements.

Handle customer queries via phone and email professionally.

Create and maintain vendor records in the system.

Ensure compliance with the Financial Instructions Manual, accounting standards, financial policies, and statutory requirements.

Identify process improvements and participate in IT system development or enhancement.

Undertake other duties as required to support business needs.

Requirements

Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
Preferably 1-2 years of general accounting experience
Sense of initiative and responsibility, able to work with minimal supervision
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical and meticulous, a team player
Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
