About the role
You will act as a finance business partner for NHG Pharmacy, working alongside business and operations teams to support financial performance across the wider NHG and MOHH network. The position reports to the Head of Finance and involves leading a finance team while driving improvements in reporting, budgeting and governance. It suits an experienced finance professional who is comfortable advising senior stakeholders and managing several priorities at once.
What you'll do
Lead the yearly budget exercise and regular forecasting for Pharmacy business units
Track financial performance and deliver variance analysis, insights and recommendations
Help business units with financial planning, resource allocation and decision-making
Build financial models and scenario analysis for business initiatives
Work with team members and Shared Services to ensure a timely monthly financial close
Ensure financial reporting is timely, accurate and compliant with accounting standards and internal policies
Review business unit financial results and highlight areas for improvement to leaders
Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure balances are substantiated
Strengthen internal controls and financial governance practices
Manage grants, programme funding and designated funds to meet funding requirements
Monitor fund utilisation and report regularly to stakeholders
Support funding applications, business cases and funding sustainability assessments
Ensure proper governance and accountability over funded programmes
Lead finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
Support implementation and optimisation of SAP S/4HANA and other digitalisation efforts
Drive automation and reporting enhancements
Redesign and streamline finance processes with stakeholders
Serve as finance business partner to departmental leaders
Provide financial advice and constructive challenge for business decisions
Communicate financial performance, risks and opportunities to stakeholders
Build effective working relationships across divisions and corporate functions
Lead and develop finance staff, including succession planning
Coach team members and promote continuous improvement and accountability
Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across the finance function

Requirements
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline
At least 10 years of relevant finance experience, including managerial and supervisory duties
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis
Experience in financial accounting, financial closing and regulatory or statutory reporting
Experience in fund management, grant administration and financial governance
Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement or digitalisation initiatives
