This role owns the commercial side of new subsea cable projects, taking them from investment origination through financing, structuring and contract award to installation and handover. You will work with engineering, fund management, corporate finance, legal and tax teams to keep each project investable, bankable and delivered on schedule and within budget. It suits an experienced commercial or project finance professional who is comfortable building underwriting models, negotiating facility agreements and managing supply-and-installation contracts.
What you'll do: • Build the investment underwriting model for new subsea cable projects with the Investment team and the Fund Management & Investment platform. • Develop and maintain the full project financial model covering capex and opex, capacity sales assumptions, revenue phasing, returns analysis and sensitivity testing. • Support investment committee papers and approvals, ensuring underwriting assumptions are robust and aligned with fund co-investor requirements. • Track actual project performance against underwriting and report variances with mitigation plans. • Own monthly and quarterly executive-level project reporting and dashboard tracking on risks, mitigations and delivery plans. • Work with corporate finance to engage lenders and support the structuring and execution of project debt. • Lead the Facility Agreement workstream, coordinating lender due diligence, term sheet negotiation, conditions precedent and financial close. • Ensure Facility Agreement obligations are met throughout the project life cycle, including covenants, reporting, drawdown conditions, insurance and lender consents. • Act as day-to-day interface with facility agents, lenders' technical advisers and insurers after close. • Work with legal, finance and tax colleagues on entity formation and holding/tax structures across relevant jurisdictions. • Coordinate establishment of project SPVs, joint venture vehicles and consortium structures, including shareholder agreements and joint build arrangements. • Ensure licensing and regulatory prerequisites tied to the corporate structure are identified and secured in the right entities at the right time. • Own the overall System Budget, Keppel share and Total Investment Cost Budgets, forecasts, cash flow and margin protection, tracking committed versus actual spend. • Own the creation and execution of key commercial agreements such as PDMA, SSHA, OMA and FA. • Assist with preparation and modeling of supply and installation contracts covering cable manufacture, marine installation, survey, burial, landing station works and terrestrial fiber. • Assist in managing variations, claims and disputes to protect Keppel's contractual position and drive timely resolution. • Assist in negotiating and modeling crossing and proximity agreements with other seabed users, and support permitting and consenting workstreams. • Assist in negotiating and modeling key customer and partner contracts. •
