Manager (Special Project), SW CDC

About the role

You will manage the Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative and related programmes in the district, connecting residents with employment opportunities and community services. Your duties include supporting Job Ambassadors at job clinics, delivering capability-building sessions, and implementing outreach plans to increase awareness of job advisory services. You will liaise with employers, merchants, SMEs, training providers, grassroots, and community partners, and process case referrals and queries from the public and inter-agency partners. You will also track job placement outcomes, gather feedback for programme improvements, and manage data on residents served and placement targets. Additionally, you will partner with stakeholders for district-wide career events and upskilling workshops.

Requirements

• Knowledge in outreach, career and skills advisory, community engagement, HR/recruitment, or workforce development
• Knowledge of a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or dialects) to engage with diverse residents
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong team player and self-starter
• Familiarity with employment trends, workforce policies, and training ecosystem in Singapore
