About the role

A merchandise planning role based in Singapore, working on range planning, forecasting, buying and tracking how sales, inventory and markdowns perform. You would join a fashion retail team and partner closely with franchise partners, so it suits someone with a strong interest in fashion and solid analytical ability.

What you'll do

Work with franchise partners to set seasonal open-to-buy and keep it aligned with financial targets
Forecast order quantities for the assigned category
Take tactical actions to meet KPIs such as sales targets, sell-through and optimal closing stock levels
Support pre-season work including launch planning, allocation plans, new season pricing and range planning
Curate and manage product assortment, optimising performance across the product life cycle

Support in-season work including repeat orders, markdowns and consolidation

Build and maintain productive relationships within the team, across functions and with franchise partners

Understand country and partner level nuances and the competitive landscape to improve business performance

Take part in departmental projects to improve IT systems or department and company productivity

Requirements

Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Retail Management, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or Supply Chain
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred, though candidates without prior experience will be considered
General knowledge of merchandising, the buying process and product knowledge
Strong computing skills and proficiency in MS Excel
Strong interpersonal, planning and organisation skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Positive work attitude and able to work under pressure
