About the role
This is a 15-month structured on-the-job traineeship with GSK at the Tuas manufacturing site, aimed at building skills for Singapore's biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector. You will join a diversified team and receive mentorship from experienced professionals while working on commercial manufacturing support. The programme suits fresh graduates and mid-career individuals who want to develop a career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
What you'll do
Provide technical support to the commercial manufacturing team, covering change assessment, process monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Contribute across the product and process lifecycle, from inception and engineering design through manufacture to service and disposal

Participate in the Continued Process Verification cycle for the designated product
Assist the Product Owner in managing CPV meetings
Apply KPIs for meaningful CPP/CQA trending and reporting of key process data, and to spot changing quality trends and issues
Review and analyse process trending to identify changing quality trends and issues
Suggest corrective actions, with Product Owner support, to solve issues and improve process robustness and consistency
Maintain the TRA, PCS, DTP, CQA and QTTP of the designated product
Compile, interpret and organise process and product data for periodic reviews, audits and regulatory support
Interact closely with MSAT Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing to monitor process performance using real-time data
Collect, record and report product metrics
Establish visual tracking and other tools to enhance audit readiness and trend analysis
Read and interpret statistical diagrams, drawings and schematics, and monitor processes for performance and problem indicators
Update the process History file lifecycle for the product
Assess the impact of changes on the current validated process status and identify revalidation or revaluation needs
Work with MSAT and MSAT Process teams to identify and confirm critical process parameters for equipment and process validation
Support audit preparation and management, including L2 audits, corporate and regulatory inspections, and answering inspector questions
Contribute to projects related to product life cycle changes or optimisation
Participate in product investigation task forces or working groups

Monthly training allowance is not subject to CPF contributions

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical/Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, Life Science, or a related engineering/science discipline
Understanding of databases and SQL
Strong MS Office background (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting capabilities and ability to apply engineering thinking to complex technical/process issues
Very good written and verbal communication skills
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
