About the role

You will be part of the team at SMRT, helping passengers have a smooth and pleasant journey on the train network. This role suits people who enjoy interacting with the public and are comfortable being on their feet around station areas.

What you'll do

Guide and educate passengers on boarding and alighting trains safely
Watch out for passenger safety and security, and report any incidents or injuries
Manage crowd flow within the station

Help passengers with fare-related questions

Assist passengers during emergencies

Carry informative signs while on duty to show passengers

Check that station facilities, equipment and structures are in good working condition, and report issues to the duty Station Manager when needed

Take on other duties assigned by supervisors

Shift duties from Monday to Friday, with weekends possibly included
You may need to stand and walk around station areas for 2 to 3 hours

Requirements

GCE 'N' level or at least 3 years of relevant working experience
Able to work shifts from Monday to Friday, with weekends possibly included
Able to stand and walk around station areas for 2 to 3 hours
Friendly personality
Good English verbal communication skills
