When
You will provide anatomic pathology services under the direction and supervision of a Pathologist. Your duties include gross examination and dissection of specimens, preparing tissue for tests such as frozen section, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical staining, and photographing gross specimens. You will also supply fresh tissue to the tissue repository and research projects, assist pathology residents with grossing, and support frozen section duties at satellite laboratories when required. Additional tasks include operating a digital whole slide image scanner, specimen accessioning, cassette printing, handling and fixation, equipment maintenance, specimen storage and disposal, and quality assurance activities. You may be asked to assist in other laboratory sections as needed.
