About the role

You will be the first point of contact at the Patient Service Centre, handling counter duties for patients and visitors in a hospital setting. The role involves registration, billing and appointment coordination, and it suits someone comfortable with computer systems and two rotating shifts.

What you'll do

Receive patients and visitors at the counter

Handle enquiries from internal and external customers

Perform registration, admissions, discharge and financial counselling for patients and next-of-kin

Discharge SSSU patients from the previous day in SAP

Check and confirm endoscopy procedures are updated in ENDOSys

Take bookings for UBT, Colonoscopy and OGD appointments and coordinate procedure listings

Check financial documents and update Medisave, Private Medical Insurance and Letter of Guarantee records

Ensure business folders and patient case notes are ready for the next day's procedures

Segregate case notes by procedure date

Bill and enter charges promptly, collect payment and be accountable for it

Schedule follow-up appointments for discharged patients

Assist with receiving, filing and dispatching case notes

Keep the Peri-operative counters clean and tidy

Collect data for statistics

Join process improvement projects and streamline processes

Work with other service providers and departments

Follow hospital and department standards

Take part in corporate events when needed

Undertake other assigned duties

Requirements

Minimum GCE 'N' Level, ITE NITEC, ITE Higher NITEC or Diploma
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of computers
Able to work morning and afternoon shifts
