About the role

This role leads sourcing work, manages supplier relationships and creates value across assigned categories. You will be the main link between business units and procurement, shaping category plans that fit operational needs and wider company goals. It suits someone strategic and analytical who enjoys working with different teams and suppliers.

What you'll do

Build and roll out category strategies that match business goals and procurement best practice, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Review spend across business units to find consolidation chances and cost savings.
Carry out market intelligence to keep up with supply market trends and dynamics.
Run competitive sourcing to find, assess and choose suppliers that meet performance, cost and quality needs, including negotiations and risk assessments for good commercial and contractual results.

Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance through business reviews, scorecards and ongoing improvement work.

Work with key suppliers on innovation, added value and alignment with business objectives.

Act as the link between internal stakeholders and Procurement so category strategies support organisational goals.

Work with legal, finance and business units on governance and risk management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, ICT or a related field
CIPS or equivalent certification is a plus
At least 3 years of procurement experience
Proven record in category management, strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation
Strong analytical skills with spend analysis and market research experience
Commercial and project management skills to lead sourcing initiatives
