About the role
You will join GovTech to help shape digital government services and products, working with citizens and businesses at the centre of what you do. The role sits within a product team that builds Smart Nation infrastructure and applications, and it suits someone who enjoys coordinating user needs, technical limits and design goals. You will be responsible for making sure the right work gets done so that digital products stay useful and relevant.
What you'll do
Work with the agency Product Owner to set a clear product vision and the steps needed to reach it
Partner with business stakeholders to define the product vision and mission and secure their support
Plan product outreach and promotion together with business partners
Define the go-to-market strategy and work with partners to carry it out

Design, test and iterate experiments that improve the user journey
Manage the product budget by tracking spending, managing cashflow and securing funding
Develop the workplan alongside the product team
Secure resources for product development, including procuring software, hardware and ICT professional services
Run user studies to understand needs and problems
Analyse data to find usage patterns that guide product decisions
Research the industry to understand complementary and competing solutions
Translate product strategy into detailed, actionable technical plans for business and vendor teams
Understand developers' needs and support them in exploring emerging tools and techniques
Formulate proposals by weighing the pros and cons of different solutions and justifying them
Consider how services could be delivered for different market segments and prioritise feature development
Create data-driven analytics and insights to guide action and trade-offs
Coordinate work across functions such as marketing, legal and finance
Co-create budget papers with the Product Owner to seek resources for product development
Drive user adoption and growth through engagement, more feature types and higher usage in a financially sustainable way
Maintain a wide network with key user agencies and central government product teams to find collaboration opportunities
Take part in public-speaking engagements to raise product awareness and gain users
Run efficient meetings to keep stakeholders and the product team updated
Prioritise, plan and track what needs to be done
Document key information and decisions about the product
Secure funding and monitor expenses
Ensure the product meets security and performance requirements such as SSAT, VAPT and performance testing
Adhere to compliance requirements and audits such as IM, AGO and QMS

Requirements
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering or a related subject area
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Prior experience in product management, IT business analysis, application solutioning design and testing
Experience with modern product development or management technologies and practices such as Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking and Product-Centric Development is strongly preferred
Experience working directly with engineers, designers and other product managers, ideally at least 3 years
Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
