About the role
This role supports the Platform for Translational Systems Medicine, a joint SingHealth-Duke NUS initiative, along with related work in the Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences Programme. You will coordinate translational research programmes, assess new therapeutic and diagnostic assets, and help run investigator-initiated clinical trials, especially early-phase studies. It suits someone comfortable moving between scientific, clinical, operational and industry partners.
What you'll do
Lead and coordinate activities across the PTSM programme and linked translational research initiatives.
Track milestones, deliverables, budgets, timelines and reporting needs.
Keep communication flowing between clinicians, scientists, bioinformaticians, industry partners and institutional stakeholders.
Build project plans and make sure programme objectives are delivered on time.
Work with the core PTSM team to move SingHealth therapeutic, diagnostic and digital health assets towards translational milestones.
Help evaluate and prioritise new therapeutic, diagnostic and digital health assets.
Carry out scientific, competitive landscape and translational assessments of emerging opportunities.
Work with researchers to map pathways for clinical translation and commercial development.
Assist in designing, planning and implementing investigator-initiated trials, early-phase studies, and retrospective and prospective validation cohort studies.
Coordinate protocol development, feasibility assessments, study start-up and operational planning.
Liaise with clinical research units, sponsors and external collaborators so studies run smoothly.
Monitor study progress and help resolve issues across multiple stakeholders.
Oversee regulatory submissions and approvals.
Coordinate with ethics committees, institutional review boards, regulatory agencies and research administration offices.
Ensure compliance with institutional, national and sponsor requirements.
Support contract, funding and governance processes for translational research projects.
Engage academic, healthcare, industry and funding partners to build collaborative opportunities.
Identify and assess new funding, partnership and translational opportunities.
Contribute to strategic planning and programme growth.
Work with academic, healthcare and industry partners to advance novel therapeutic, diagnostic and digital health technologies towards clinical and commercial translation.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Data Science, Public Health or a related discipline
Experience in translational research, biomedical innovation, clinical research or programme management
Strong understanding of clinical trial development and conduct
Familiarity with regulatory and ethical requirements governing clinical research
Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
