Project Site Engineer (Environmental Remediation)

About the role

Support the Superintending Officer in administering remediation contracts for land decontamination and clean-up projects. Act as a key liaison between the Client and Contractor, working with the Project Manager to inspect and monitor work progress. Gather and analyse contractor performance data such as soil and groundwater treatment, excavations, sampling and environmental monitoring. Conduct validation reviews of contractor deliverables against technical and contractual requirements. Support project risk identification, mitigation and dispute resolution, including Extension of Time and loss and expense claims. Prepare weekly reports, official correspondence, meeting minutes and technical deliverables, and assist with field sampling when required.

Requirements

• Diploma, Specialist Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields
• Up to 3 years of work experience in construction site supervision, civil infrastructure or building development management
• Experience managing subcontractors and resolving site and civil works issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a team and under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
