About the role
This role supports quality operations at a semiconductor manufacturing site in Singapore. You will lead inspections, guide inspectors and operators on shift, and drive improvements in quality and efficiency. It suits someone with quality or manufacturing experience who is comfortable leading a team and working rotating shifts.
What you'll do
Lead and carry out quality inspections following procedures, sampling plans, control plans and specifications

Make sure inspections are done accurately, consistently and on time
Support disposition and containment of non-conforming materials, products and quality excursions
Track daily inspection performance, quality benchmarks and operational priorities
Serve as the main technical resource for inspectors and operators on shift
Troubleshoot quality, process and operational issues and escalate when needed
Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues
Support engineering evaluations, NPI activities, qualification runs and special inspection requests
Coordinate daily labour deployment, workload balancing and shift priorities
Mentor and provide technical support to inspectors and technicians
Facilitate communication and alignment between QE, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning and supporting teams
Help engineers and supervisors meet department goals and action plans
Conduct operational training, certification, re-certification and on-the-job mentoring
Maintain training efficiency and proficiency standards
Help develop training materials, certification checklists and knowledge-sharing activities
Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned processes and tools
Identify inefficiencies, quality risks and improvement opportunities
Lead or join Lean, automation and efficiency improvement initiatives
Apply digital tools, automation and data analytics to improve operations and decision-making
Support implementation of guidelines and standardisation across QE Operations
Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work while following organisational standards and legal requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements
Ensure compliance with quality standards, ISO/IATF, EHS and site procedures
Keep accurate records, reports and inspection documentation
Support audits, customer visits and quality system activities
Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement
Good to know
12-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays
Work in cleanroom and ESD-protected manufacturing environments
Use microscopes, vision systems and other inspection equipment for extended periods
Wear PPE and cleanroom attire as required
Requirements
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Electronics, Mechanical or related field preferred
Candidates without a diploma may be considered based on proven experience, technical expertise, leadership capability and contributions in Quality Operations
Solid understanding of quality inspection methodologies, sampling plans, defect classification and manufacturing processes
Experience in quality operations, metrology, incoming/outgoing inspection, wafer, strip or unit-level inspection, or semiconductor manufacturing preferred
Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates AI-enabled and data-driven ways of working using technology, automation, analytics and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage
