Quantity Surveyor

About the role

You will establish client requirements and carry out feasibility studies for building and infrastructure projects. You will attend site and consultant meetings, liaise with clients, architects and consultants, and administer projects from pre-contract to post-contract stages. Duties include interpreting drawings and specifications to calculate project costs, preparing main building, piling and nominated sub-contracts for tender, and measuring and taking off quantities for architectural, infrastructure and structural works. You will assess variation orders, prepare interim valuations, cost plans and budget studies, compile contract documents, and value completed work to arrange payments. You will also provide advice on contractual claims, allocate work to subcontractors, and write detailed progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• 0-3 years of experience in pre and post contract work in consultancy or main contractor environment
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Able to work collaboratively and mentor juniors
• Able to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office
