Research Assistant/Associate, Systems Neuroscience [LKCMedicine]

About the role

Join the Nair group at LKCMedicine to study how neural circuits in the brain process states of emotion. You will collect large-scale neural activity data and carry out an independent research project. You will also help with lab management duties such as purchasing, procurement, budgeting and grant management. You will prepare grant applications and conference presentations, and write research publications with other lab members. You will attend weekly lab meetings and journal clubs, presenting data or papers when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree for Research Assistant; Master's degree for Research Associate in life science, neuroscience, computational biology, psychology, or related fields
• Experience in stereotaxic surgery and neural recording in murine models is advantageous
• Experience analysing large-scale neural datasets is preferred but not required
• Competent in information visualisation; Adobe Illustrator knowledge is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
