Research Associate (Horticulture and Plant Physiology)

About the role

You will conduct climate room experiments by varying environmental conditions for the growth of pak choi. You will develop, calibrate and validate a dynamic crop growth model for pak choi. You will also build self-learning models using continuous sensor data and work with project partners on predictive climate and crop control strategies for indoor farming. The role includes writing scientific papers and presenting at international conferences.

Requirements

• Master's degree in plant science, biology, agronomy or related fields
• Strong written and communication skills
• Knowledge of plant and crop physiology
• Experience or demonstrated interest in a quantitative approach to crop growth
• Strong presentation skills for academic and non-academic audiences
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work in a team
