Research Associate (Mechanical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering / Materials Science)

About the role

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing at NTU is hiring a Research Associate to support research in additive manufacturing, computational design, biomaterials and biomedical engineering. You will design, fabricate, optimise and experimentally validate 3D printed structures and biomedical devices such as porous scaffolds and bioactive composite materials. Duties include developing biofabrication strategies, running additive manufacturing experiments, mechanical testing and materials characterisation. You will analyse data, prepare reports and journal publications, and work with researchers, students, clinicians and industry partners. You will also help maintain lab equipment and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline
• Experience in additive manufacturing and computational design
• Experience in biomaterials, tissue engineering or biomedical applications
• Experience in materials characterisation, mechanical testing, microscopy and image analysis
• Good publication record in relevant research areas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
