About the role
The Acoustic Research Laboratory at the Tropical Marine Science Institute runs research projects in underwater acoustics and marine robotics. You will support team members across several projects, developing and testing algorithms for machine learning and computer vision. This role suits someone with a strong scientific programming background who enjoys both algorithm work and hands-on field activity.
What you'll do
- Develop, implement and test machine learning and computer vision algorithms across several projects
- Work with engineers to build systems for testing the algorithms
- Help plan and conduct field trials
