About the role

Join the Computational Digital Pathology Lab at the Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR, as a Research Officer supporting the AI-based Digital Pathology programme. The team develops AI, image processing, computer vision and mathematical modelling tools to help diagnose and predict cancer from digitised pathology slides. This role suits a motivated researcher with a bachelor's or master's degree who wants to build a scientific career in AI and medical image analysis.

What you'll do

Develop and validate AI solutions for digital pathology diagnosis and prognosis
Apply image processing, computer vision and mathematical modelling to digitised biopsy and whole slide images
Implement numerical computational algorithms in languages such as Matlab, C/C++, Java or Python

Work with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

Conduct independent research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator

Collaborate with lab members and external hospitals and clinical settings

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree
Proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python or similar
Knowledge and experience in AI, machine learning, pattern recognition and digital image processing
Practical coding skills for numerical computational algorithms
Strong analytical and logical thinking
Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
