Carry out detailed spend analysis to find savings opportunities
Drive cost reduction through renegotiation, alternative sourcing and consolidation
Oversee the full purchasing process for the warehouse
Place purchase orders accurately and on time for packaging, consumables, facility services and equipment maintenance
Run RFQs and RFPs and negotiate contracts with logistics vendors
Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness
Resolve mismatches between purchase orders, goods receipts and invoices so payment is not delayed
Keep critical supplies flowing without overstocking
Identify, assess and onboard suppliers in line with company policy
Benchmark prices and market trends
Support project teams with purchase orders for CAPEX and OPEX spending
Work with stakeholders on governance for the tender process
Build cross-regional collaboration and define reporting standards
Make sure procurement follows company policy and audit requirements
Keep documentation such as purchase orders, contracts and approvals in order
Support internal and external audits
Monitor budget and approval threshold compliance
Produce weekly and monthly financial reports for the Head of Logistics covering spend velocity, open commitments and full-year forecasts
Use SAP for procurement, budget and cost tracking
Build dashboards for cost visibility and procurement performance
Improve inefficiencies in the procurement-to-invoice process
Maintain and improve master data such as vendor details, pricing and material cost data
Support sustainability-related cost initiatives and better material use, including reusable pallets and packaging
Assess eco-friendly or lower-cost packaging options
Align cost savings with ESG goals where relevant
Encourage a cost-conscious culture on the ground
Help develop SOPs for procurement and cost control
