School of Engineering - Associate Lecturer (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)

About the role

Deliver part-time courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with emphasis on Electrical and Power Engineering and Communications Systems. Conduct hands-on training on electrical installations, power systems, protection, testing and commissioning, and basic communication systems. Guide adult learners through practical exercises, case studies, and real-world applications, including troubleshooting and safety practices. Mentor learners in applying theory to workplace scenarios and collaborate with course teams to enhance curriculum delivery.

Requirements

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronic and Communications Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong industry experience in electrical installations, power systems, or facilities/energy management
• Broad foundation in general electronics and electrical engineering with deeper expertise in power engineering
• Ability to deliver hands-on, application-focused training for working professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
