The role sits within the Safety & Security team and works closely with other hotel departments, so it suits someone who is alert, professional and comfortable dealing with people.

Support intoxicated, incapacitated or vulnerable people safely
Help prevent unauthorised or illegal activity and protect hotel property
Inspect plant rooms, kitchens, storage areas, fire control areas and service corridors
Check fire escape routes, exits, signage and safety equipment
Secure back-of-house doors after operating hours
Inspect locker rooms and restrooms for security or safety issues
Watch for prohibited items such as flammables, corrosives, hazardous tools or illegal drugs
Conduct team member bag inspections under hotel policy
Record and report discrepancies, damage, loss or threats
Verify Gate Pass documentation before property leaves the premises
Record and close Gate Pass records when items are returned
Detain and document suspected unauthorised property
Control deposited keys, issue and return them with proper records
Report lost or unreturned keys promptly
Assist guests with directions, elevators and enquiries
Support elderly guests, children and persons with disabilities
Maintain a welcoming and professional manner with guests and staff
Handle guest security concerns with discretion and empathy
Keep awareness of VIP guests and special situations
