About the role
This is a finance executive position supporting RTS Operations Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Prasarana and SMRT. You will work with stakeholders across functions in a fast-moving setting. It suits an experienced accountant with a strong background in general ledger and management reporting.
What you'll do
Handle daily accounting tasks such as payment processing and invoicing, and make sure entries for Singapore and Malaysia operations are recorded correctly and on time.
Keep a full set of accounts in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International), Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Singapore and Malaysia tax rules, and company policies.
Prepare and submit all statutory filings on schedule.
Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve any month-end discrepancies.

Deliver accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end statutory and management reports, including variance analysis, cashflow statements, accounting schedules and bank reconciliations.
Prepare group financial consolidation for the holding company and its Malaysia branch.
Prepare quarterly consolidation packages for shareholder reporting.
Prepare the annual budget, monthly forecasts and projections, coordinating inputs from business units to meet reporting deadlines.
Monitor monthly cash flows and working capital needs, and prepare monthly cash flow projections for management and the Board.
Draft financial presentation materials for quarterly Board meetings.
Manage the treasury function to reduce foreign exchange exposure and maintain sufficient liquidity.
Ensure tax filings are completed on time, comply with tax matters and recommend actions on corporate tax, withholding tax, indirect tax and legislative changes.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Provide regular and ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business unit initiatives.
Travel between Singapore and the RTSO office in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
At least 4 years of accounting and finance experience
Specialisation in GL and management reporting
Strong analytical exposure
Working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards
Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP B1
