About the role

You will act as the lead security architect for the BusinessSG initiative, guiding the shift to a proactive AI-driven platform. You will sit inside a 10-person Discovery Squad with AI engineers and product leads, making sure autonomous AI workflows that run through messaging interfaces and a unified data hub stay secure, transparent and resilient. This suits a cybersecurity specialist who wants to secure agentic AI in a public sector setting.

What you'll do

Lead the design of security guardrails so AI agents cannot take unauthorised legal or financial actions.
Map potential risks for autonomous AI, such as users hijacking the agent's intent or tricking it into accessing data it should not.
Design workflows where high-stakes AI decisions, like grant recommendations, cannot proceed without explicit authenticated human approval.

Build a chain of custody for AI decisions by logging what the agent thought, what data it retrieved and which model version was used.

Ensure AI actions are documented well enough to be reconstructed and explained to auditors or stakeholders.

Ensure the AI only accesses integrated agency data on a strict need-to-know basis.

Conduct proactive testing to find vulnerabilities in how the AI processes instructions or uses external tools.

Implement specialised privacy technologies to protect sensitive business information within the unified data hub.

Requirements

6–10 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 2–3 years focused on AI/ML systems or securing LLM-based applications
Proven track record in cloud infrastructure security, specifically securing serverless compute, API gateways and cloud-native databases
Experience architecting or securing systems where AI performs actions through APIs
Strong understanding of current LLM/ASI security risks, including prompt injection and data privacy in RAG setups
In-depth knowledge of Singapore's public sector security standards, including IM8 and the Model AI Governance Framework
Ability to thrive in a high-velocity sandbox environment balancing rapid prototyping with security rigour
