About the role

This senior finance leadership role sits within the National Cancer Centre Singapore, a national and regional tertiary cancer centre serving most public-sector cancer cases here. You will oversee finance and accounting for NCCS as well as its Cancer Fund and Research Fund, leading a team across general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, sundry billing and patient receipting. It suits an experienced, hands-on accounting leader who is comfortable managing cross-functional and institutional relationships.

What you'll do

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
Handle payroll-related work including benefits in kind and clinical manpower costs
Prepare cashflow projections and manage treasury
Coordinate and oversee the year-end statutory audit
Manage all tax matters including corporate tax, GST and withholding tax
Maintain adequate internal controls and accounting records
Develop and review financial policies and procedures
Provide data and analysis for cluster HQ and/or the Ministry of Health
Take part in key IT projects
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and handle statutory surveys and claims submissions

Requirements

Recognised degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with CA accreditation
At least 10 years of relevant work experience
At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Meticulous and hands-on, with high integrity, initiative and resourcefulness
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
