About the role
This role sits within the pioneer finance team of a new hospital campus in Tengah Forest Town, part of the National University Health System cluster. You will help set up financial planning, costing and systems for the facility, working alongside clinical, operational and project colleagues. It suits an experienced finance professional who enjoys building processes from the ground up in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do
Partner with clinical, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, operations and project teams on hospital planning, providing financial analysis and insight for strategic decisions.
Take part in workflow redesign to lift operational efficiency, productivity and financial sustainability.
Help plan, monitor and manage operating and capital budgets for the new hospital.

Assess major capital investment, equipment purchases and service contracts with stakeholders to align procurement with operational needs, affordability and long-term viability.
Develop and roll out finance processes, policies and procedures, giving hands-on guidance and oversight for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
Spend time at other institutions to observe best practices in process implementation, business support, partnering and systems, feeding into the new hospital's setup.
Act as a finance business partner to clinical, operational and project teams, offering timely financial advice and insights.
Engage internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare clusters, government agencies and consultants.
Serve as a key communication link among stakeholders and management to support the hospital's successful set-up.
Build the hospital's costing framework in line with the National Costing Guideline and organisational objectives.
Support the design and implementation of costing methodologies, working with clinical and operational stakeholders so they reflect resource use and care models.
Set up mechanisms to capture, monitor and analyse service line and patient-level costs.
Take part in initial pricing set-up for hospital services and programmes.
Conduct benchmarking and financial analysis to inform pricing decisions.
Support the design, implementation and operationalisation of finance-related IT systems.
Work with users, IT and system vendors to define business requirements and ensure configurations meet operational needs.
Take part in user acceptance testing, change management and implementation activities.
Drive innovation and process improvement using automation tools, AI and system capabilities for a future-ready operating model.

The campus is located in Tengah Forest Town and is slated to be ready in the early 2030s.
You will be part of the pioneer team for the new hospital and a member of the multi-disciplinary Cluster/Site Finance team.
Requirements
Good degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant finance working experience
Experience in hospital operations, healthcare financing, costing or pricing is highly advantageous
Strong logical, analytical and process flow skills
Able to translate clinical and operational requirements into financial implications and viable recommendations
Excellent project management skills for driving and supporting major projects
