About the role
This role sits in the Treasury Systems Accounting team within Group Product Control at a bank's Group Finance function. The team sets and maintains accounting configuration for treasury products across vendor and in-house systems, and works with Technology on the design and testing of in-house accounting systems. It suits someone with a banking background who enjoys digging into how systems and accounting logic fit together.
What you'll do
- Set and maintain accounting configuration for treasury products in vendor and in-house systems
- Work with Technology on the design and testing of in-house accounting systems
- Partner with Business Analysts, Technology and other Finance stakeholders to understand the end-to-end product life cycle and events
- Ensure all accounting requirements are fulfilled and documented
- Take part in UATs to confirm system solutions meet requirements
- Help troubleshoot production accounting issues

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting is an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in a related banking role
- Knowledge of bank treasury products and their accounting entries
- Familiarity with Murex is a plus
- Able to understand simple SQL and run basic database queries
- Experience building own MS Access, Qlikview or Tableau reports is likely
