About the role
This senior management role leads the credit risk function for unsecured lending within Citi Global Wealth in Singapore. The position suits an experienced risk professional who can combine technical analytics with team leadership and stakeholder engagement. You will drive strategic initiatives and balance risk against reward across the portfolio.
What you'll do
Develop, implement and refine credit risk strategies for unsecured lending products such as credit cards
Use advanced risk analytics and loss forecasting to spot emerging trends and manage credit losses
Monitor key financial drivers and portfolio metrics to guide credit policy adjustments
Work with product, marketing, finance and operations teams to align risk strategy with business goals
Apply credit risk concepts including PD, LGD and EAD to improve risk models
Lead development, validation and implementation of predictive risk models, scorecards and decision engines
Oversee data management practices to ensure data quality, integrity and availability
Use statistical analysis, machine learning and quantitative methods to generate insights from complex datasets
Promote best-in-class analytical tools and techniques for risk assessment
Lead, mentor and develop a team of risk analysts and specialists
Set performance objectives, give feedback and conduct performance reviews
Delegate tasks, manage team workload and ensure timely project delivery
Build relationships with internal stakeholders including executive management, product, finance, sales and compliance
Communicate complex risk concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Represent credit risk in committees and forums
Lead end-to-end development of new credit strategies from concept to model building and testing
Design and run champion/challenger tests and other experiments
Oversee implementation of approved credit strategies into decision systems and processes
Establish monitoring frameworks to track strategy performance

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science
8-10 years of credit risk management experience in financial services, with focus on unsecured lending
Proven leadership or team management experience developing and mentoring risk professionals
Extensive experience developing, testing, optimizing and implementing credit strategies
Advanced proficiency in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning and quantitative methods for credit risk
Strong understanding of data warehousing, SQL and large datasets, plus data governance and quality frameworks
