You will work closely with procurement, engineering and depot teams, and the position suits fresh graduates as well as experienced planners who may be considered for a senior title.

Carry out monthly forecasting and ageing analysis in SAP, and propose drawdown or disposal plans for excess and obsolete stock
Keep critical spares lists aligned with maintenance plans and fleet availability targets
Join weekly sessions with Procurement to review priorities, shortages and delivery risks
Assess RFQs and tenders for stock items through Ariba, including price benchmarking and lead-time checks
Support cost savings by comparing aftermarket and OE parts together with Engineering
Source parts for projects, heavy maintenance such as traction motor and engine overhauls, and CSW needs
Make sure contract terms and pricing are reflected correctly in SAP and followed in purchasing
Track supplier on-time delivery, lead times and responsiveness, and raise risks early
Spot supply risks for critical components and suggest mitigations such as dual sourcing, safety stock or forward orders
Work with Procurement to settle supplier quality or delivery problems
Keep master data such as MOQ, lead time, pricing and units clean in SAP
Run consignment settlement reports and reconciliations on schedule
Build and maintain dashboards and reports on inventory health, ageing, availability and stockout trends
Support improvements and automation in SAP, Ariba and reporting workflows
Coordinate with Engineering on fit, form and function checks and qualification of OEM parts to achieve savings
Plan material availability for modification programmes, fleet introductions and overhauls
Recommend process improvements such as reorder policies, parameter tuning and supplier consolidation
