About the role

A senior investment strategy role within Prudential's Group Chief Investment Office, based at the group head office in Singapore. You will analyse macro economies and financial markets to shape the firm's house view on markets and asset outlook, working closely with local investment teams. It suits an experienced economist or strategist who can explain complex ideas clearly to senior and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do

Carry out detailed quantitative and qualitative research on macro economies and financial markets, including how these affect asset allocation and portfolio construction.
Help build the group's thought leadership on asset allocation and investment strategy.

Develop and shape the firm's house view on financial markets and asset outlook.

Support investment solution development and help oversee portfolio management.

Work with local investment teams to deliver regular market outlook presentations and ad-hoc analysis of major investment events.

Prepare and present market analysis, macro strategy insights and portfolio implications to senior management, internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Act as a key link between the Group CIO and local investment teams, encouraging collaboration and alignment on macro strategy and portfolio decisions.

Requirements

10–12 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
Ideally an economist or strategist background
Extensive experience analysing a broad range of asset classes and strategies across different markets
Able to write effectively and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Buy side or sell side experience both welcome
