About the role

This role oversees procurement at a Singapore university, reporting to the Assistant Director. You will lead a team and drive the rollout of a source-to-pay system to modernise how the institution buys goods and services. It suits an experienced procurement professional who enjoys process improvement, stakeholder engagement and mentoring staff.

What you'll do

Lead the full implementation of the Coupa source-to-pay system and its integration with SAP S4/HANA
Create and run a digital adoption plan, including training for staff and suppliers
Track system performance and data accuracy, troubleshoot issues and support future module rollouts
Help build reporting dashboards showing spend, compliance and supplier performance

Use data analytics to review procurement patterns and find cost savings, sourcing opportunities and process improvements

Spot supply chain and operational risks and put mitigation plans in place

Drive sustainable procurement initiatives

Introduce new technologies and methods to improve procurement efficiency

Guide cross-functional teams through strategic sourcing projects from needs assessment to supplier selection and contract finalisation

Develop and deliver procurement training programmes for staff

Serve as the main contact for audits and work with the Assistant Director to close gaps and implement controls

Develop and execute change management plans for new initiatives such as sustainable procurement policies and system implementations

Carry out any other duties assigned

Requirements

Degree holder
At least 10 years of relevant procurement experience
At least 3 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and regulations, preferably in the public sector
Hands-on experience with Coupa and SAP S4/HANA preferred
Effective oral, written, interpersonal and organisational skills
