Senior Manager, SingHealth Intellectual Property Office

About the role

You will evaluate invention disclosures for patentability and commercial potential, working with inventors and patent agents to draft and file patent applications. You will prosecute and maintain an active patent portfolio by responding to Patent Office actions through agents. You will support translational funding applications by advising research teams on intellectual property sections and reviewing commercialisation strategies. You will negotiate and manage intellectual property agreements such as collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements, and non-disclosure agreements under senior oversight. You will identify potential licensees, conduct due diligence, benchmark technology value, and structure licence deals. You will also promote awareness of intellectual property commercialisation by engaging clinicians and researchers, attending workshops, and speaking at events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or relevant scientific/engineering field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in intellectual property identification, protection, or commercialisation
• Working knowledge of intellectual property protection and rights law
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and build business relationships
