About the role

You will join NTUC Health, a healthcare organisation providing eldercare and rehabilitation services across Singapore. The role focuses on helping seniors keep or rebuild their independence in everyday activities so they can lead purposeful lives. It suits a registered occupational therapist who enjoys working with older adults in the community.

What you'll do

Assess clients' physical, cognitive, psychosocial and occupational needs and design suitable intervention plans
Help clients take part meaningfully in their surroundings
Run caregiver training and education
Recommend suitable aids or assistive devices
Carry out home assessments and modifications where needed
Take part in quality improvement, research and collaborative projects

Train therapists, support staff and other healthcare professionals

Make sure clinical protocols and service standards are followed

Good to know

Permanent part-time role with flexibility, minimum three full days a week
Settings include Day Rehabilitation Centres, home therapy and nursing homes islandwide
Structured training to build confidence in client rehabilitation
Supportive reporting officer and mentor for career development
Open feedback channels
Work with regional health systems and integrated services such as active ageing, daycare, nursing home and community care
Innovative pilot projects with MOH and AIC, including telerehabilitation and Parkinson's classes

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy
Fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
Able to work well in a collaborative, fast-changing environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Genuine interest in engaging seniors in the community
Proficient in Google Suite applications
