About the role
This role supports an eye care department by carrying out diagnostic imaging and testing for patients. You will work alongside a clinical team in a hospital setting, and it suits someone who enjoys patient contact and picking up new technical skills.
What you'll do
- Perform ophthalmic investigations such as perimetry, optical coherence tomography, retinal and disc tomography, and ophthalmic photography
- Support department operations, including workflow improvement, hospital planning, eye screening and eye health talks
Good to know
- Certificate in Ophthalmic Technician is an advantage
- Relevant experience in healthcare, imaging or photography is an advantage
Requirements
- Certificate in Ophthalmic Technician is an advantage
- Competent in IT skills
- Relevant experience in healthcare, imaging or photography is an advantage
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent patient service and commits to provide quality care to patients
- Possess keen interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge
