About the role
GovTech is hiring a Senior Product Manager to join the Science Centre Board's IT and Innovation Department, where the team builds digital platforms that shape how visitors experience science. You will lead visitor-facing digital products from early discovery all the way through launch and ongoing refinement, working alongside business stakeholders, designers and external vendors. This suits an experienced product professional who enjoys complex stakeholder settings and wants to build technology for public good.
What you'll do
Build and maintain strong relationships with Science Centre Board stakeholders so product direction matches organisational priorities.
Act as the main link between the product squad and senior leadership, reporting on product strategy, progress and outcomes.
Define and drive a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the organisation's goals.
Own the full product lifecycle, from problem discovery and solution design to delivery, optimisation and continuous improvement.
Ensure the product delivers measurable value to users and supports strategic objectives.
Lead product squads to deliver on the product vision and drive adoption.
Conduct visitor research, competitor benchmarking and stakeholder workshops to surface high-value problems and opportunities.
Evaluate and prioritise potential solutions by user value, technical feasibility and strategic alignment, and recommend the best options.
Lead proof of concept and proof of value work to validate ideas, assess technical feasibility and show business value.
Prepare product concept papers covering the problem, proposed solution, success metrics and funding justification.
Lead product squads made up of business stakeholders, a designer and outsourced vendors to deliver digital products from concept through launch and post-launch optimisation.
Own and maintain the product roadmap, prioritising features by strategic value, user impact and technical feasibility.
Work with procurement and business stakeholders to define technical requirements, prepare tender specifications and manage tender evaluation.
Manage outsourced vendors so delivery meets contractual requirements, technical standards and committed timelines.
Apply agile product delivery practices to support iterative development, rapid feedback and continuous improvement.
Review technical designs and oversee all testing, including integration, performance and security testing, to ensure compliance with best practices and government standards.
Ensure product quality through rigorous user acceptance testing and release governance.
Identify and manage risks across technical, operational and business domains.
Define product success metrics and use analytics to measure performance and drive data-informed decisions.
Monitor user behaviour, feedback and operational data to find improvement opportunities.

Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
At least 10 years of experience delivering digital products
At least 5 years in a product management role
Proven track record of shipping successful digital products from conception to launch
Experience working with outsourced technology vendors and managing vendor-led product development
Experience applying Agile product delivery, service design and user-centred design practices
