About the role

This role sits with the Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine in Singapore, building and running integrated product platforms that combine live data feeds, predictive analytics and interactive 3D visualisation. The products covered include a Virtual Testing Environment, a Design Optimisation Toolkit and a Digital Twin, and the work spans system architecture, data engineering, cloud infrastructure and frontend development. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys working alongside domain specialists in hydrodynamics, structures, structural health monitoring, controls and AI.

What you'll do

Design and build the end-to-end architecture for cloud, hybrid and on-prem product deployments, keeping them scalable, performant and secure

Develop and integrate backend services, data pipelines and APIs for real-time and batch ingestion, processing, storage, simulation automation and machine learning/AI model serving

Bring physics-based simulations, machine learning/AI inference services and analytics together into unified product workflows

Design and run a Virtual Testing Environment and Design Optimisation Toolkit covering batch simulation, scenario orchestration, regression testing, optimisation, sensitivity and uncertainty analyses, and Digital Twin verification and validation

Feed data, simulation results and machine learning/AI outputs into dashboards and interactive 3D visualisations

Support real-time monitoring, alerting and scenario-based analysis

Standardise data and model structures, and manage versioning and the lifecycle of models and services

Maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/MLOps practices so deployment and operations stay reproducible

Requirements

Strong background in system and cloud architecture for data-intensive platforms
Proficient in backend development, data engineering and API integration
Experience with real-time data streaming, time-series processing and analytics
Hands-on with deploying and operating machine learning/AI models, including inference, versioning and monitoring
Experience integrating dashboards and real-time 3D visualisation technologies
Familiar with containerisation, orchestration and DevOps/MLOps practices
