About the role
This role sits with the technology team at a long-established Singapore bank, looking after the on-premises Teradata data warehouse that supports analytics across the business. You will work alongside infrastructure engineers, data engineers and BI analysts to keep the platform fast, secure and available. It suits an experienced database specialist who enjoys tuning large-scale systems and working fairly independently.
What you'll do
- Manage, secure and optimise the on-premises enterprise Teradata data warehouse platform
- Allocate Perm, Spool and Temp space across physical nodes and resolve data skewing across AMPs
- Tune complex SQL queries using Teradata Viewpoint and Visual Explain, and automate statistics collection
