About the role

This role supports front-of-house service at an Asian restaurant with outlets at Gilmore and Rempapa. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handle bookings and payments, and keep service running smoothly alongside the floor and kitchen teams. It suits someone with supervisory experience in Asian dining who enjoys a busy, guest-facing environment.

What you'll do

Handle guest enquiries by phone, email and online booking platforms, and route them to the right department where needed
Operate POS systems and process card and cash payments
Take guest orders, recommend menu specials and suggest promotions
Verify bill accuracy before presenting them to guests
Balance cash floats at the start and end of each shift

Set up tables and service areas following SOP

Clear tables and dishes from the dining area and side stations

Respond to guest enquiries and feedback politely and professionally, supporting the wider team

Help with beverage preparation and daily kitchen operations

Follow personal hygiene and sanitation procedures

Assist with self-collection takeaway orders, wrapping and packing food so it reaches guests in good condition

Manage delivery platform apps and process orders promptly

Carry out any other duties assigned by Management

Requirements

At least 2 years' experience as a Captain or Supervisor in Asian culinary settings
Good problem-solving, able to handle customer complaints with empathy
Positive, motivated and passionate attitude
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with POS systems and online booking systems such as Chope
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
