About the role
This role leads the Singapore country operations for Global Markets, supporting the Markets business across foreign exchange, rates, commodities, credit and prime services. You will work with trading, sales, middle office, compliance, finance, risk and technology teams to keep the Singapore franchise running smoothly and to deliver change. It suits an experienced operations team leader who is comfortable with derivatives and financing products and who can manage senior stakeholders.

Partner with clients, the business and other functions to enable booking models and solutions that support income growth and new business.
Drive improvements in operational capabilities, cut manual work and move processes towards digitisation.

Support the business and performance deliverables for Global Markets Operations Singapore activities.
Act as Country Process Owner for risk issues, incidents and control exceptions.
Govern outsourcing activities and key partners so that KPIs are met.
Work with business, finance, middle office and market operations on new business initiatives, review impact and ensure operational readiness for Day 1.
Make sure regulatory reports are completed and submitted on time and accurately, escalate reporting errors and track remediation plans with timely updates to the regulator.
Support team development and embed group strategy into day-to-day work to support business growth.
Manage and implement ad hoc projects that affect the Singapore business.
Work with global and functional teams to meet regulatory, compliance, risk and control requirements, and identify and escalate key issues with action plans to mitigate and track resolution.
Support product governance activities covering the PPG/CA process, unit operations incident management, annual due diligence and outsourcing management over GBS, HK and SG hubs.
Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and comply with them.

Take personal responsibility for embedding high ethical standards, including regulatory and business conduct, across the bank.
Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters collaboratively.

The role is based in Singapore.
Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant operations experience as a team manager or team leader
In-depth knowledge of financial markets, derivatives (flow and structured) and financing products
Understanding of front-to-back product operations processes
Analytical mindset with strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with various stakeholders
Able to provide independent challenge and drive management actions at senior level
Strong teamwork with internal and external groups
