About the role

This internship sits within the Sourcing and Procurement function at SATS, based at the Inflight Catering Centre. You will support procurement for technical and operational equipment, ground support equipment, spare parts and building and construction activities, helping to keep sourcing and contract management aligned with user needs, safety and operational timelines. It suits someone with a technical background who is comfortable with data analysis and using AI tools.

Help manage P2P, sourcing and contract management activities so they align with user specifications, safety requirements, operational timelines and regulatory standards

Support competitive bidding exercises and negotiations to deliver best-value outcomes

Support the development and maintenance of the Category Strategy for the GSE/Vehicles & MRO or Building and Construction portfolio

Help build a multi-year roadmap that drives value creation and cost savings by setting strategic priorities based on business needs and the regional supply chain landscape

Identify and realise synergistic opportunities across contracts to optimise demand, consolidate suppliers and establish scalable procurement frameworks

Support a team of executives within the GSE/Vehicles & MRO or Building and Construction portfolio to deliver end-to-end category procurement activities

Help drive strategic category outcomes at a regional level and provide structured performance guidance, direction and accountability

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of category KPIs, savings tracking, supplier performance metrics and consolidated category performance

Support the Category Manager in providing strategic advisory to internal stakeholders at senior management level on procurement specifications, evaluations and award strategies

Help drive cost savings through competitive sourcing, demand management and process improvements
