About the role
This role is based at a hotel spa in Singapore South Beach, where you will deliver massage and body treatments to guests. It suits a licensed therapist with at least a year of hands-on experience who enjoys a polished hotel environment and working closely with guests.
What you'll do
Provide massage services using props and products
Deliver body treatments such as scrubs, wraps and hydrotherapy
Assess guest needs and check for contraindications like allergies, high blood pressure and pregnancy before starting
Keep your techniques and modalities current
Escort guests to and from treatment rooms
Set up your workstation, treatment room and drapes
Check in with guests regularly to keep them comfortable, safe and secure
Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail products
Clean, maintain and sterilise tools
Keep your workstation and treatment room clean through the shift, clear trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift
Keep to the day's time schedule
Handle inappropriate guest behaviour following company procedures, up to stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor or manager
Maintain your skills and licensure as required in the region
Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to your manager, and complete safety training and certifications
Follow company policies and procedures, keep your uniform and appearance clean and professional, protect confidential information and company assets
Welcome and acknowledge guests to company standards, anticipate and address their needs, and thank them sincerely
Communicate clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships
Stand, sit or walk for long periods, and grasp, turn and handle objects of different sizes and weights
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 10 pounds without help
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors

Requirements
State or regional massage license
At least 1 year of related work experience
Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
No supervisory experience needed
Able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
Able to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
