About the role
This role sits with the cell film process development team supporting advanced NAND memory technologies at Fab 10N/X in Singapore. It suits an early-career technical contributor who wants to build strong fundamentals in thin film processes and disciplined experimental work, learning under the guidance of senior engineers.
What you'll do
Carry out established thin film processes such as ALD and CVD following defined procedures and development plans
Run experiments, gather data and keep accurate records of results
Pick up process fundamentals, key knobs and sensitivities for assigned film steps or unit processes
Do basic data analysis and summarise results in clear, structured formats
Spot obvious trends, anomalies and repeatability issues in experimental data
Present findings in team forums with support from senior engineers
Support daily process development activities on cell film equipment
Learn tool operation principles, recipe structure and basic hardware functionality
Help with tool qualifications, process checks and routine troubleshooting
Build a basic understanding of how cell film processes affect downstream integration and device behaviour
Support failure analysis and learning tied to yield or reliability issues
Follow established handoff and documentation practices
Work closely with senior engineers, equipment engineers and integration teams
Seek feedback and coaching to speed up technical learning
Take strong ownership of assigned tasks and timelines
Build foundational knowledge in thin film materials, chemistry and process physics
Work toward running experiments independently with minimal supervision
Learn to link process conditions to material, structural and early electrical trends
Use AI-assisted tools and insights in daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness, with sound judgment and compliance with organisational standards and legal requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within your scope of work
Good to know
Based at Fab 10N/X, Singapore
Full time position
Requirements
Fundamental understanding of thin film deposition techniques such as ALD and CVD
Basic knowledge of materials science, chemical reactions and vacuum systems
Familiarity with experimental methods and data interpretation
Willingness to learn semiconductor process tools and fab metrology
Able to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, problem solving and operational tasks
PhD, or Master's degree with at least 3 years, or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field
