About the role
This role sits within Visa's Business-to-Business Identity & Access Management team, part of the wider Cybersecurity organisation, and focuses on keeping B2B IAM applications secure, stable and ready for release. It suits a hands-on test engineer who enjoys automation, full-stack validation and working closely with development, security and operations colleagues. The position is hybrid, with office days to be confirmed by the hiring manager.
What you'll do
Plan, design, execute and automate tests for Java, .NET Core, Python and full-stack B2B IAM applications.
Build, improve and maintain automated tests and frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman/Newman, JMeter, Java or Python.
Carry out functional, regression, integration, API, performance, smoke, sanity and post-deployment validation testing.
Test and troubleshoot across front-end, back-end, database, API, middleware and infrastructure layers.
Keep QA, staging, pre-production and production-like environments stable by troubleshooting issues and validating configurations.
Support security patching, vulnerability remediation, dependency upgrades, certificate renewals, middleware updates and patch validation.
Help with release readiness, deployment validation, smoke and regression testing, sign-off inputs, rollback support and post-release checks.
Contribute to platform stability through monitoring, log analysis, root cause analysis and defect investigation.
Conduct API and performance testing with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, OpenAPI/Swagger, JMeter or LoadRunner.
Work with relational databases and directory services, writing SQL queries and supporting IAM workflows.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, QA, security, operations and system engineers.
Align test and release work with Visa's development methodology, technical security requirements, SSDLC practices and cybersecurity rules.
Use CI/CD, source control, code quality and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Docker or Kubernetes.
Build internal tools, scripts, dashboards and test utilities using Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL, HTML5 or CSS3.
Support generative AI, agentic tools and AI-assisted automation for testing, release validation, failure analysis and support workflows.
Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, maintain test documentation, share knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
