About the role
This role sits within the Central Team Alignment group at Micron's Fab 10A in Singapore, driving manufacturing capability improvements and global standards across process areas. You will work with sites, procurement, quality and external suppliers to align processes and equipment with world-class benchmarks. It suits an experienced engineer who can lead cross-functional projects and travel internationally when required.
What you'll do
Improve tool utilisation to meet best-in-class standards.
Run a process to remove low-utilisation tools and enable cold or warm shutdowns for OPEX and CAPEX savings.
Create globally aligned warm shutdown procedures that keep safety intact and allow recovery to production.
Quantify potential spare parts and manhour savings from reducing PM counts.
Close tool POR-MOR gaps on major volume, align them across the network and update PDM.
Set up global area alignment teams to tackle chronic issues, drive improvements and cut waste.
Channel lessons from forums such as TPM Forum and Excursion Review into global area forums to set standards for deployment, implementation and audit.
Design matrices for each process area so improvements affect the four pillars.
Build a library of area-level best known methods for equipment and process engineers, feeding forward to TD and HVM.
Align PM procedures across the Micron network for shared workstations and integrate them into a system accessible via tablet or notebook.
Tie matrices to measure the effectiveness of globally aligned PM procedures and manage changes to existing and new procedures.
Prepare the workforce to move up the value chain from PM/CM work to tool-to-tool matching, improved tool capabilities and standardised tool/lot dispositions.
Implement system-level best known methods in process areas globally and fan out high-criticality SEAL system BKMs through site Task Force Teams and local MA engineers.
Enable fast, flexible transfer of area-level BKMs when ready, perform a one-time standardisation audit after TFT implementation, and monitor and sustain system BKMs for one year.
Coach and lead projects, coordinate activities, and guide BKM implementation in your areas.
Build morale and team spirit, share wins, foster open dialogue, acknowledge team dynamics, and address negative relationships.
Work with Fab groups and the Central Team to maintain alignment in your areas.
Attend area DAM meetings to update daily alignment plans and coordinate with daily operation priorities.
Attend weekly Area Risk Assessment Control Board meetings to provide input on change points and assess worldwide sharing opportunities.
Report monthly to the Area on status and progress of all alignment activity.
Maintain alignment direction with the MCT Alignment Manager and Site Area manager.
Build strong relationships within your functional area and with teams in Process Integration Engineering, Quality Systems, Production Operations Management and Purchasin
