About the role
This role sits within the Operations Central Team (OCT) Contamination Control (CC) group at Micron's Fab 10A in Singapore. You will drive global contamination control engineering improvements, standardise business processes, and work with process and equipment engineers to start up, develop and optimise processes that lift product quality, reliability, yield, cost, productivity and risk management. It suits an experienced wafer fab engineer who enjoys cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
Drive global Contamination Control strategy, programmes and performance toward Best-in-Class outcomes and zero customer deviations.
Lead cross-functional alignment across Manufacturing, QRA, PE and partner functions to resolve yield, reliability and cleanroom issues and mitigate contamination risks.
Develop and manage CC metrics, KPIs and best practices, standardise processes and ensure effective communication across sites.
Engage the global CC community and external networks to align with industry direction and keep current on CC standards, tools and methodologies.
Build strong stakeholder relationships, ensure timely issue resolution and communicate progress and proposals effectively.
Leverage Artificial Intelligence to optimise procedures, consolidate and analyse information, and improve daily tasks.
Lead CC strategies that enable capacity, throughput and fab utilisation while maintaining quality compliance.
Integrate CC into capacity expansion programmes to prevent yield or reliability risks such as AMC, particles, metallics and environment.
Drive process optimisation and contamination-safe throughput improvements, for example recipe, queue time and load size.
Define CC guidelines for tool matching, process window expansion, cross-qualification and advanced nodes.
Establish data-driven monitoring of AMC, particles, humidity and temperature for early detection and safe ramp.
Develop and implement global CC strategies for wafer shipment and cross-site transfers to ensure consistent quality.
Standardise carrier strategies such as FOUP/FOSB, nitrogen purge, mini-environment controls and environmental specifications across sites.
Define monitoring and response SOPs and establish layered contamination defences covering carrier integrity, environment control and real-time monitoring.
Drive centralised governance and KPI tracking to ensure adherence to CC standards across all fabs.
Lead and execute CC projects to reduce process and equipment variation and support corporate goals.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables using approved tools and align short- and long-term plans across sites and functions.
Drive accountability through clear metrics, regular status tracking and structured updates to stakeholders.
Recruit and leverage global resources, set ambitious yet achievable targets, and ensure teams deliver against timelines and objectives.
Identify and resolve process-related probl
