About the role

This role supports preventive and corrective maintenance, overhauls and engineering support for trains, depot and workshop equipment on the Thomson-East Coast Line. You will join a rolling stock maintenance team that keeps services safe, reliable and comfortable for commuters. It suits someone with a hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance background who is comfortable following strict procedures.

What you'll do

Carry out preventive, corrective and overhaul maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering analysis and investigation on rolling stock, depot and workshop equipment
Follow the latest work instructions and quality, maintenance, operational and safety procedures, keeping yourself and colleagues safe
Make sure tools and equipment are calibrated and in good working condition

Perform train shunting and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles and maintenance equipment

Update work records accurately and on time in the work records form and maintenance management system

Report any abnormalities or practices that do not follow work instructions and procedures

Apply KAIZEN methods (5M, 5S and 5W) to cut the 8 wastes and improve productivity and value

Support staff, contractors and other personnel working on the depot and rolling stock

Assist the group during incidents, accidents and emergencies

Keep all work areas clean and well organised

Based in Singapore
Higher NITEC/NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering/Technology required
Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment
