About the role
This role supports the Ultra-Pure Water and Wastewater systems at a semiconductor fabrication facility in Singapore. You will join a facilities team responsible for keeping these critical systems running reliably, and the position suits someone with a technical background who enjoys hands-on plant operations and maintenance. The company offers exposure to advanced technology and accelerated training in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
Oversee operation, maintenance and monitoring of UPW and WWTP systems so they run efficiently within set parameters
Maintain quality control of water and wastewater systems, including regulatory compliance and regular inspections
Troubleshoot routine and non-routine problems to restore service after system failures
Identify and address issues to improve system stability and reliability
Enforce safety compliance and follow government regulations
Work with system engineers on environmental sustainability projects such as energy reduction, water conservation and waste recycling
Coordinate with contractors and vendors on corrective and preventive maintenance programmes
Carry out PM/CM activities for systems, including in-house work, following SOP, Risk Assessment and Permit to Work requirements
Respond promptly to out-of-spec conditions and plant interruptions to minimise downtime
Generate and update maintenance work orders and check inventories in the Facility Management System
Follow Total Productive Maintenance principles and guidelines to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime
Understand Lockout/Tagout devices used during PM/CM activities
Perform Permit to Work and Risk Assessment for PM/CM work
Identify electrical, fire and chemical hazards and follow safety procedures, including when entering confined spaces
Select and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment for each PM/CM activity
Use AI-assisted tools and insights in daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements

Requirements
Diploma in Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other analytics tools
Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Relevant experience in water or wastewater systems, or equivalent
